Energy-Efficient Thermal Insulation for the Baddeleyite-Corundum Lining of Glass-Founding Furnaces

The article discusses requirements that have been established for the efficiency of the thermal insulation of electrofused baddeleyite refractories. It describes the structure of a new cold lining for the walls of the working space and founding basin. The lining reduces average heat flux to the environment to 583.8 and 612.5 – 758.8 W/m2, respectively.
