Results are presented from a study of the compositions of foams for making heat-insulating refractory products with the use of a slag-alkali binder. It is shown that use of the given binder can yield materials with an ultimate compressive strength of up to 20 – 22 MPa. These materials can be used as heat-insulating materials and as structural materials.
