Study of the physicomechanical properties of modified material of the composition Al2O3–SiC–C based on acpb after reduction annealing

Dependences of the apparent density and ultimate strength in compression on amount of silicon carbide and form of modifying addition (Al, Si, B and other mixes) for materials of the composition Al2O3–SiC–C based on an aluminochromium phosphate binder after firing in a reducing atmosphere at 1400°C are studied. It is established that addition of amorphous boron and Al + Si + B are effective for improving physicomechanical properties.
