Modified mullite-cordierite materials

  • Published:
Refractories and Industrial Ceramics Aims and scope

A mullite-cordierite material has been made with a high thermal stability index, which has been attained by introducing silicon carbide and a waste from the production of ferrosilicon into the charge containing kyanite and the active form of magnesium oxide.
