Facility for joining refractory components in the roof of an open-hearth furnace

Abstract

An increase in the stability of the main roof of an open-hearth furnace is resolved successfully by filling the joints of roof lining with plates made of plastic refractory material with programmed properties ((Plasogneupor-PS) produced by NPK ZAO Rosmetallkomplekt. The technology makes it possible to increase considerably the life of a open-hearth furnace roof lining and to reduce fuel consumption.
