Barbara Kieser

studied political science and economics at the University of Zurich and the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland where she graduated in 2014. In her master thesis she dealt with the question of factors influencing the ownership of mobility resources. She currently works at a PR agency in Zurich.

Dr Nicole Mathys

studied economics at the Universities of Neuchâtel (Switzerland), East Anglia (Norwich, UK) and HEC Lausanne (Switzerland). From 2008 to 2013 she worked at the Swiss Federal Office of Energy where she was responsible for the socio-economic research program and contributed to the preparation of the new energy strategy 2050. She also acted as deputy head of the section “Market Regulation”. Since 2013 she is head of the section “Fundamental Policy Questions” at the Swiss Federal Office for Spatial Development. The section provides data, modeling results and economic analysis for questions related to spatial development and transportation. At the same time she is lecturer and researcher at the University of Neuchâtel.

Dr Andreas Justen

studied geography and transport planning at Humboldt University and Technical University Berlin where he graduated in 2006. Between 2006 and 2013 he worked as a research associate at the German Aerospace Centre’s (DLR) Institute of Transport Research in Berlin. Since 2013 he works at the Swiss Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE) and is co-head of the National Transport Modeling Unit.
