About The Guest Editor

Dr. Ajay K. Banga is Professor and Chair in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Mercer University, Atlanta, GA. He has a Ph.D. in pharmaceutics from Rutgers University, NJ. He has over 50 publications and serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the journal Critical Reviews in Therapeutic Drug Carrier Systems. He has investigated transdermal iontophoretic drug delivery for several years and is the author of a book, Electrically Assisted Transdermal and Topical Drug Delivery. He has also written a book on Therapeutic Peptides and Proteins: Formulation, Processing, and Delivery Systems, which is now in its Second Edition. One major area of his research at this time is transdermal delivery of proteins.
