Quantitative determination of total flavonoids in bilberry shoots

Medicinal Plants

The main flavonoid glycoside from bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) shoots was isolated and identified preliminarily as quercetin-3-O-xyloside. Amethod for quantitative determination of flavonoids in bilberry shoots based on differential spectrophotometry at analytical wavelength 420 nm with complexation by aluminum chloride was developed.
