Phase Transformations in Nitrided Iron Powders

Phase transformations in nitrided iron powders are studied under heating in vacuum and argon by the methods of thermal x-ray imaging and synchronous thermal analysis. The ranges of thermal stability of the nitride phases and nitrous austenite are determined.
