Determination of the Volume of a Tank from the Results of Laser Scanning

  • LINEAR AND ANGULAR MEASUREMENTS
  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

The volume of a tank from the formulations in the State Primary Special Standard of the unit of the volume and mass flow rate of water GET 119–2010 is measured by means of 3D laser scanning. A comparative analysis of reference data and measurement results is presented. The error caused by software processing of the results of scanning is estimated.
