This article reports the results of a study of the temperature fields in the mold of new horizontal continuous caster HCC-12000, which was designed to cast ingots of nonferrous and precious metals. Results are presented from calculations of the temperature fields in molds of different length. The calculations were performed using the computer programs Solidworks, ProEngineering and PoligonSoft, which model production processes. Recommendations are given on efficient geometric parameters for the mold.
