Two-Dimensional Regime in the Angular Dependence of the Upper Critical Field of Superconducting/Normal Metal Hybrids

Abstract

The temperature and angular dependence of the upper critical magnetic field H c2 in Nb/Pd superconducting multilayers were investigated with a particular attention given to the region where the system is in the two-dimensional (2D) regime. The influence of the proximity effect on the 2D region as obtained from the H c2 angular behavior was explicitly analyzed.
