Dear Colleagues:

Welcome to the Ninth American Conference on Pharmacometrics (ACoP9), the Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP).

Over the years, ISoP has grown to be the premier global organization dedicated to the fields of pharmacometrics and systems pharmacology, with more than 1000 members from over 30 countries. The mission of ISoP is to promote and advance the discipline of pharmacometrics through Integration, Innovation, and Impact. As the annual meeting of our society, ACoP reflects this mission by featuring scientific symposia and poster sessions, invited lectures, tutorials, student and trainee events, pre- and post-meeting workshops, and abundant networking opportunities with attendees from around the world.

The theme of this year’s meeting, “Modeling without Bounds” was chosen to highlight ISoP’s 2018 Focus Areas of increased international collaborations and improved integration of pharmacometrics groups, methods, and tools. Consistent with this theme, our Programming and Abstract Committees have selected exceptional scientific content from the many outstanding proposals and abstracts submitted by community members, as well as inspiring and innovative talks by our distinguished Keynote (Mr. Walter Woltosz, Simulations Plus) and State of the Art (Professor Andrew Lo, Massachusetts Institute of Technology) speakers. In addition, our pre-conference program on “Digital Health Technology, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence: The Future of Clinical Trials and Informative Therapeutic Decisions?” will highlight the latest innovations and clinical applications of digital health technologies.

We sincerely thank the members of the ACoP9 Planning Team for their outstanding efforts in organizing this exciting conference, and to our sponsors and exhibitors for their support. We would also like to extend our congratulations to the 2018 Fellows and ISoP and ACoP9 Award Winners. These distinctions and awards are an important way to recognize outstanding contributions to the field of pharmacometrics.

Our meeting has experienced unprecedented growth, culminating this year with ACoP9 registration closing 6 weeks before the Early Bird deadline. While this is an exciting time for the field, we sincerely apologize that we could not accommodate everyone who wanted to attend and present their work. Our conference venue was secured several years ago, and our meeting has since nearly doubled in size. We are working to increase the maximum attendance capacity for future ACoP meetings, and we thank you for your patience and continued support.

We hope you enjoy ACoP9. Please be sure to visit www.go-acop.org for the most up-to-date information on our program.
