Superfluidity and Bose Einstein Condensation Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Abstract

Superfluidity is 70 years old. It is well understood in the weak coupling limit, much less in 4He where quantum fluctuations are large. In this brief talk we survey two pending challenges, crystallization and localization. These issues control possible supersolidity in 4He. The flexibility of cold atoms might throw light on these competing orders.
