Abstract
Crystals of 3,4,5-triethoxybenzoic acid benzene solvate, 3,4,5-(C2H5O)3C6H2COOH⋅ 0.25C6H6, are monoclinic, space group P2/c, with the cell dimensions at 100 K: a = 18.729(3), b = 10.6475(17), c = 14.390(2) Å, β = 98.410(2)∘, V = 2838.7(8) Å3, and Z = 8, Z′ = 2. In the crystal structure two symmetrically independent molecules of 3,4,5-triethoxybenzoic acid form a planar dimer by two O–H⋅sO hydrogen bonds.
