Academies are all-ability, state-funded schools established and managed by sponsors from a wide range of backgrounds, including colleges, universities, individual philanthropists, businesses, the voluntary sector, and the faith communities.
A Trust school is a state funded foundation school supported by a charitable trust. It is made up of the school and partners working together for the benefit of the school.
