Investigating in-medium lambda production in pion induced reactions

We present the status of the evaluation of in-medium production cross sections for Lambda baryons and K\(_{0}^{S}\) mesons in pion induced reactions at 1.15 GeV/c beam momentum. A systematics of five target nuclei, from carbon to lead, has been measured. The inclusive in-medium cross section is studied as well as possible conclusions on in-medium potential by comparing to transport model calculations. The data have been recorded by the FOPI detector at the GSI.
