Invasive Crustacea

The Sixth International Crustacean Congress (ICC6) took place at the University of Glasgow from 18 to 22 July 2005. The scientific programme comprised five plenary lectures, eight special symposia and four additional symposia with 231 oral presentations and 285 posters. Some 450 delegates from 53 countries attended this extremely well organized meeting.

The overall success of the meeting was due to the vision of one person, Douglas Neil. We thank Douglas for his support, enthusiasm and encouragement while organising the Invasive Crustacea symposium. We would also like to thank the Local Organising Committee, the Congress Organising Committee and the Scientific Committee for all their contributions to the smooth running of ICC6.
