The possibility of using a finely disperse free-flowing material, the density of the substance of which is approximately that of the density of water for physical modeling of overall and local channel scouring beyond the spillway of a ravine HPP is demonstrated. The material employed for modeling of overall channel scouring should have an angle of repose in the submerged state equal to the angle in fine- and medium-grain sands.
