Abstract
The previously unknown three component condensation of hetarylguanidines, orthoesters, and active methylene carbonyl compounds has been studied. Depending on the nature of the latter products of both linear combination and subsequent cyclizationl leading to pyrimidine or tetrahydroquinazoline structures were obtained.
