Azimuthal correlation functions as a probe for collective motion

Abstract

Collective flow of projectile fragments of chargeZ≥2 produced in84Kr induced emulsion interactions at 950 MeV/nucleon has been studied using azimuthal correlation functions. The method is direct and does not require determination of the reaction plane on an event-by-event basis.
