Diffraction and Forward Physics at the LHC

We discuss a few of the present options for forward physics at the LHC, for the TOTEM, CMS and ATLAS experiments. A better coverage of the forward region will allow to make measurements that are of interest for understanding data from Cosmic Ray experiments.
