Abstract
When the valence s-electron spin and the nuclear spin are polarized simultaneously, K-capture processes can be controlled by the principle of conservation of angular momentum, which will be most dramatically demonstrated using a hydrogen-like atom 7Be+3. The controlled K-capture will open up a new realm in atomic and nuclear physics, leading to a novel technique to measure the neutrino's rest mass.
