Effect of Structural Characteristics on Abrasive Wear Resistance and Impact Strength of Facing and Carbonitrided Coatings

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

High abrasive wear resistance and impact strength of materials is provided (if they have heterophase structures impregnated with hard particles) by particles isolated from each other by relatively ductile matrix. Materials with this structure may be prepared by facing or carbonitriding by special regimes.
