Test results are presented for a new industrial oil-emulsion heater with intensified heat exchange between the combustion products of the fuel, and combined use of direct- and indirect-heating methods. Basic characteristics of the heater, which has a heat rating of 1.9 MW, are defined. It is demonstrated that as compared with industrially produced analogies, the new heater possesses a of heat-rating to weight ratio three times lower on average, and six times lower than that of a heater with similar clearance dimensions.
