Interaction of a liquid stream with a solid

Theoretical mechanics methods are used to find reaction in bends of a pipeline due to the action of liquid flow centrifugal forces. The results obtained in special cases agree with results obtained both by a theorem for the change in amount of movement and sidelong elastic impact. In contrast to existing procedures, the method proposed makes it possible to find the point of application of resultant centrifugal forces in a pipeline bend, which it is necessary to know for correct placement of pipeline supports for the purpose of increasing its fatigue strength.
