Increase in the operating reliability of a well sucker-rod pump

Abstract

Problems are considered that arise in strengthening cylinders and plungers of well sucker-rod pumps. The advantages and disadvantages are analyzed for methods of nitriding and chromizing in order to provide cylinder wear resistance. New efficient strengthening technology is proposed, i.e., multistage ion-vacuum nitriding, whose introduction has made it possible to increase the reliable operating life of pumps under complicated oil recovery conditions.
