The Editor in Chief has retracted this article. After publication, the authors asked to retract it citing errors in data collection and problems with reproducing the results. Further investigation found concerns regarding the allocation of 80 patients into 4 groups of 54. Authors have been unable to explain this, provide the original data or supply the original ethics approval for the study.
Therefore, the EiC has lost confidence in the integrity of the data and the findings of the paper.
Shan Meng, Shaoguang Fan, Donghua Xu, Xiufen Ma, Yuhua Su, Yajing Liu, and Qiang Shu agree to the retraction but not to the retraction wording. Yanmei Li has not responded to any correspondence from the editor about this retraction. The Publisher has not been able to obtain a current email address for author Chunxiao Guan.
