Spherical and moment functions on the affine group of SU(n)

Abstract

Moments of probability measures on a group can be obtained from so called (generalized) moment functions of a given order. Characterization theorems for moment function sequences on different types of groups and hypergroups have been obtained. We study spherical and moment functions on affine groups and describe spherical and moment functions on the affine group of the SU(n) group.
