Abstract

Status epilepticus is one of the major neurological emergency situations requiring immediate medical treatment. Rapid and sufficiently dosed treatment is essential to optimize outcome and to reduce mortality. This article gives an overview about the possible treatment options of status epilepticus in the domestic environment and by paramedics in the ambulance.
