The use of composite theory principles to increase the load-bearing capacity of loess

Abstract.

The paper discusses the use of composite theory principles to increase the load-bearing capacity of loess. Examples are cited of the optimization of these materials, including grouting of loess in the south of Russia. The proposed method is shown to be efficient in the improvement of loess properties.

Résumé.

L'article discute des possibilités apportées par les géo-composites pour améliorer la capacité portante des loess. Des exemples sont présentés, incluant les techniques d'injection dans le sud de la Russie. La méthode proposée apparaît efficace pour améliorer les propriétés des loess.
