Die Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie als unverzichtbarer Partner der Pädiatrie

Zusammenfassung

Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie und Pädiatrie gewinnt vor allem im Bereich der Psychosomatik immer größere Bedeutung. Dem Kinder- und Jugendpsychiater kommt dabei als Spezialist für einen Großteil der dort zu behandelnden Krankheitsbilder eine wichtige Rolle in der fachgerechten Behandlung dieser Patientenklientel zu. Die Zusammenarbeit erfolgt hierbei sowohl ambulant mit dem niedergelassenen Pädiater als auch in der Tätigkeit als Konsiliararzt für den stationären Bereich der Kinder- und Jugendheilkunde oder gegebenenfalls auch als Oberarzt auf einer pädiatrischen Psychosomatikstation. Am Landeskrankenhaus (LKH) Hochsteiermark Leoben gibt es seit einigen Jahren auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen eine erfolgreiche Kooperation zwischen Pädiatrie und Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie. Weitere Schritte in der Zusammenarbeit sind noch geplant und wünschenswert.

Abstract

Cooperation between child and adolescent psychiatry and pediatrics is becoming more and more important, especially in the field of psychosomatic medicine. The child and adolescent psychiatrist, as the specialist for the majority of diseases to be treated in this field, plays an important role in the professional treatment of this patient collective. Cooperation takes place with pediatricians in private practice for outpatients as well as through the psychiatrist’s function as consultant for the inpatient area of pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Additionally, child and adolescent psychiatrists take on the role of senior physicians at the department of pediatric psychosomatic medicine. At the regional hospital LKH Hochsteiermark in Leoben pediatrics and child and adolescent psychiatry have successfully been cooperating at various levels for several years. Further steps in the cooperation are planned and desirable.
