The unit of the HOG-creatinine ratio presented in this article is calculated in μmol/mg creatinine instead of the demonstrated unit of μmol/μmol. This applies to the parameter in the text of the article and the labeling of Figs. 1, 2b and 3c.
The corresponding molar ratios for all urine samples in μmol/mmol creatinine are as follows: 1.19 in PH I/II (range 0.07–11.37 μmol/mmol), 24.24 in PH III (range 0.005–290.444 μmol/mmol), 1.4 in non-PH (range 0.004–5.89 μmol/mmol) (n = 209 urine samples, mean values, p < 0.05). A solid cut-off with sensitivity of 77% and specificity of 91% was calculated for 2.5 μmol/mmol creatinine.
