Homosexualität und Psychoanalyse

Zusammenfassung

In Anlehnung an eine italienische Umfrage (Lingiardi und Capozzi 2004) wurden in Deutschland 470 Analytiker und Kandidaten zweier Institute befragt. Bei einer Rücklaufquote von etwa 38 % sprachen sich die Befragten überwiegend für eine Gleichbehandlung von homosexuellen und nichthomosexuellen Analytikern aus. Homosexualität wurde nicht als Krankheit gesehen. Im Gegensatz dazu wurde deren Genese als psychisch determiniert betrachtet. Die Ergebnisse wurden mit den Befunden der italienischen Umfrage und zwischen den beiden Instituten verglichen. Das Verhältnis von psychoanalytischer Theorie, klinisch-psychoanalytischer Praxis und Homosexualität als offen gelebter Lebensoption bleiben Konfliktparteien, jedoch ist die Bereitschaft deutscher Psychoanalytiker deutlich, die homosexuelle Objektwahl zunehmend weniger zu stigmatisieren und zu entpathologisieren.

Abstract

Based on an Italian survey (Lingiardi and Capozzi 2004) 470 analysts and candidates from 2 institutes in Germany were interviewed by questionnaires. With a response rate of approximately 38%, the respondents were predominantly for equal treatment of homosexual and nonhomosexual analysts. Homosexuality was not regarded as a disease. In contrast, the genesis was considered to be mentally determined. The results were compared with the findings of the Italian survey and between the two German institutes. The relationship of psychoanalytic theory, clinical psychoanalytic practice and homosexuality as an openly lived lifestyle option remains conflictual; however, there is a clear willingness of German psychoanalysts to destigmatize and increasingly depathologize the homosexual object choice.
