Summary

Adequate maintenance of the intensive therapy in organ donors is crucial for the success of transplantation. In addition to consistently continuing general measures of intensive care (cleansing of the bronchial tree, proper positioning, ventilation), the early administration of desmopressin and the differentiated use of fluid volume control and catecholamine administration represent the special features of an appropriate basic treatment. In particular, the administration of corticoids is indicated if a failing circulation cannot be stabilized.

Zusammenfassung

Eine adäquate Intensivtherapie des Organspenders ist von entscheidender Bedeutung für den Transplantationserfolg. Neben der konsequenten Fortführung der allgemeinen intensivmedizinischen Maßnahmen (Bronchialtoilette, Lagerung, Beatmung) sind die frühzeitige Gabe von Desmopressin und die differenzierte Volumen- und Katecholamintherapie die primären Behandlungsmaßnahmen. Bei nicht stabilisierbarer Kreislaufinsuffizienz sind Kortikoide indiziert.
