Whose proofs these are, I think I know
He assigned the work a week ago.
The answers I have written here
Will make him jump and holler “No!”
Our careful prof will think it queer
The derivation stops right here.
I may have made a small mistake
But all the rest was very clear.
More time a better proof would make
But my brain is about to break.
And soon I shall but stop and weep
Because a final grade’s at stake.
My love of math is not so deep
This proof can take a flying leap.
And I go get myself some sleep
And I go get myself some sleep.
