Knieendoprothetik – Aufgaben und Probleme des instrumentierenden Operationsteams

Zusammenfassung

Jährlich werden in unserer Klinik ca. 220 Knieendoprothesen implantiert. Für das instrumentierende Personal ist dies ein Routineeingriff. Die Praxis zeigt, dass mangelndes Operations(Op.-)management in Bezug auf Instrumente, Implantate, Op.-Personal und Op.-Vorplanung zu Problemen bzw. Komplikationen führt. Daraus resultiert die prophylaktische Suche nach Fehlerquellen (Risikmanagement).

Werden die Fehlerquellen erfasst, dargestellt und abgestellt, wird die Knieendoprothesenoperation zum Erfolg für Patient und Op.-Team. Kooperation- und Kommunikation zwischen Hersteller, Operateur und OP-Pflegepersonal dient zur Minimierung forensischer Risiken.

Die wichtigsten Aufgabe des instrumentierenden Personals ist es, eine adäquate Struktur- und Prozessqualität herzustellen, damit auf dieser Grundlage eine positive Ergebnisqualität erzielt werden kann.

Abstract

About 220 knee endoprostheses are implanted at our clinic annually. This is a routine procedure for the instrument staff. Practice has shown, however, that deficient operating room management as regards the instruments, implants, operating room staff, and surgical planning causes problems. As a result of this, a prophylactic search for sources of error began (risk management). If the sources of error are found, described, and remedied, knee endoprosthetic surgery will be successful for both the patient and the surgical team. Cooperation and communication among manufacturer, surgeon, and surgical nursing staff should serve to minimize forensic risks.

The most important task of the instrument staff is to produce adequate structure and procedural quality so that a positive result can be achieved.
