Spatial decay for a model of double diffusive convection in Darcy and Brinkman flows

Abstract.

A fluid which contains a solute is assumed to flow through a semi-infinite pipe. We study the problem of double diffusive convection for steady state Brinkman and Darcy flows using a model of Straughan and Hutter [14]. Under appropriate hypotheses we establish the exponential decay of solutions.
