The year of death of E. John H. Corner was erroneously given as “1997” in IMA Fungus 4 (2): (43), 2013, as had Index Fungorum, and Kirk et al. (Ainsworth & Bisby’s Dictionary of the Fungi, 10th edn, 2013). His son John Corner (in litt.) has since informed me that the actual date of death was 14 September 1996 — just five months after he was presented with the de Bary award of the IMA.

In the paper “Astraeus: hidden dimensions” by Phosri et al. (IMA Fungus 4: 347–356, December 2013) in the diagnosis of the new species A. morganii, “smaller basidiome, larger spores” should be replaced by “smaller basidiome and spores”. The authors apologise for any confusion this slip may have caused.
