Summary
In this paper an attempt has been made to explain the basic details of the manufacturing process and the test results obtained for spiral welded pipe.
In Germany three companies have produced approximately 400,000 tons of spiral pipe over the past six years. This production provided a solid background for test results and technical data. This experience has provided ample evidence that spiral welded pipe is qualified for all grades of high test line pipe.
