In einer Genom-Assoziationsstudie wurde ein neuer funktioneller Einzelnukleotid- Polymorphismus (SNP) entdeckt, der die Expression des Gens GLCCI1 unterdrückt, das die pharmakologische Antwort auf in halative Kortikoide beim Asthma bronchiale beeinflusst.
