Car makers turn to India for engineering help

Abstract

By 2010, 40,000 engineers could be handling the outsourcing needs of western companies. A strong sense of justice, proficiency in English and costs that are just a third of those in the United States for a well-educated employee have made India an off-shore engineering Mecca for western automotive companies.
