Quality Assurance using standardised logistics processes

Industry Logistics

If processes are sufficiently routine in nature, products can be manufactured on schedule, cost-effectively and to the required quality standard. Henry Ford was aware of this fact many years ago. However, little attention is generally paid to standardising the planning and implementation of logistics processes. This article focuses on a new approach to standardised logistics planning, which was developed by the engineering service provider Ipol in cooperation with the Technical University of Ilmenau.
