Lillian Rubin is a graduate student in sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, and a member of the research staff of the Institute of Industrial Relations at the university. Among her diverse research interests are deviance, race relations, and poverty. Her publications include a study of the origins and implications of the “maximum feasible participation” clause in the anti-poverty program.
