Conclusion

The provision of enterai nutrition to this subgroup of patients can be technically challenging because of lack of patient cooperation, increased risk of aspiration and often a high lying gastric position. PRG has a high technical success rate in this patient group, but is associated with significant long-term tuberelated problems (31% repeat procedures).
