A new iterative method for solving quasi-static problems of plasticity

Abstract

An iterative method to solve a system of nonlinear equations arising from finite element analysis of plasticity is proposed. It is proved that this iteration converges unconditionally. A method to accelerate the convergence of this iteration is also proposed.
