Abstract

The main objective of this article is to relate drift plasma models to continuum models. Detailed analysis of currents in collision-less MHD is made together with comparison to drift models with conclusion that MHD diamagnetic drift current gives the same force effects as the sum of the drift currents caused by curvature and gradient of magnetic fields with addition of the magnetization current (curl of magnetization).
