Hydromagnetic free convection flow from a horizontal plate: Similar solution

The effect of the transverse magnetic field applied on the laminar free convection flow of electrically conductiing fluid from a semi-infinite horizontal plate is studied. In the case of constant applied magnetic field, the fluid velocity, skin-friction and the rate of heat transfer decrease with the increase of the magnetic field strength while temperature increases in the boundary layer.
