Samenvatting

Op 9 september 2008 las ik in de krant dat verloskundigen per 1 januari 2009 een tariefverhoging krijgen van 23 procent in verband met de problemen die zij ondervinden bij het verlenen van zorg in achterstandswijken. Doelstelling van de tariefverhoging, zo werd vermeld, is verloskundigen in verband met onveilige situaties in achterstandswijken de mogelijkheid te bieden gebruik te maken van een taxi of om beveiliging in te huren. Het bericht vond zijn basis in de brief die minister Klink op die datum over dit onderwerp aan de Tweede Kamer schreef.
