Samenvatting
De Health of the Nation Outcome Scales65+ (HoNOS65+) lijkt een geschikt instrument voor effectmeting in de ouderenpsychiatrie. Het instrument is geïmplementeerd als effectmaat binnen de afdeling ouderenpsychiatrie Oost (DIGNIS) van Lentis. Van 244 patiënten zijn herhaalde metingen beschikbaar die zijn afgenomen aan het begin van de behandeling en ten tijde van het ontslag. Bij deze groep wilden we vaststellen of de Health of the Nation Outcome Scales65+ (HoNOS65+) voldoende gevoelig is voor verandering bij patiënten die kortdurend in behandeling zijn. De mate van verandering is onderzocht voor respectievelijk de ambulante en de klinische behandelsetting en voor de diagnostische hoofdcategorieën:stemmingsstoornissen, cognitieve functiestoornissen, psychotische stoornissen en overige. Als statistische maat werd de paarsgewijze t-toets gebruikt. Zowel in de klinische als de ambulante behandeling gaan patiënten er significant op vooruit. Dit geldt tevens voor iedere diagnostische groep.
Conclusie is dat de HoNOS 65+ voldoende gevoelig is voor veranderingen en mede daarom geschikt als effectmaat in de ouderenpsychiatrie.
